Ventura County Office of Education
Executive Director of Career Education for the Ventura County Office of Education

I want to live in a world where no one ever says, ”I don’t get math,” people are no longer hungry for simple solutions to complex problems, and iphone batteries never die.

I am currently the Executive Director of Career Education for the Ventura County Office of Education, where my most recent work helped bring in more than $30 million in competitive grant funding. I also wrote and received a grant to found the first high school Unmanned Aerial Vehicle curriculum in the state of California. I am currently working on developing several new initiatives including a high school mechatronics curriculum and a MARC (Manufacturing, Aerospace, and Robotics Center).

I began my career as a middle school math and science teacher, worked for the California Department of Education, and spent two years working with a different kind of drone as a professional beekeeper before moving to Ventura County.
